Michael Conly, AIA, NCARB

Mike Conly ArchituraMichael has 40 years of experience practicing as a licensed architect. He graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a degree in Architecture and is licensed in 20 states. Michael completed post-graduate work at the Harvard University Graduate School of Design focusing on Museum design. Mike enjoys working with a team to manage a project from beginning to end but especially enjoys the conceptual phase of meeting with the client and designing a project. Having been trained when drawings were created solely by hand, Mike developed pen and ink sketching design skills that he often uses while sitting with a client during early design meetings. Mike appreciates the well-developed technical skills of his fellow colleagues and works to encourage teamwork in accomplishing the task of completing phases of a given project.

Michael is a Service-Disabled Veteran who served in the US Army and Indiana National Guard from 1969-1975. He appreciates the contributions that military veterans have given to our country. Michael leads the Architura work with the Veteran’s Administration.

Mike enjoys creating projects with both contemporary and historic design but has grown to appreciate the rich detailing of historic buildings as time has progressed. Mike also enjoys writing and speaking to create and deliver presentations to new and existing clients. He is as comfortable presenting a project to a room full of people as he is to one or two people in a quiet meeting. Mike enjoys the management of the project team but relies on a good partnership relationship to balance leadership in his firm.
