University Auto Park - Urbana, IL

The design services provided by Architura incorporated the Owner’s desires to plan efficient and attractive settings for multiple auto sales and service buildings for Joe O’Brien’s University Auto Park in Champaign/Urbana.

One of the most unique challenges and opportunities presented to Architura in designing the Auto Park was the visually cohesive need to tie the various building designs together while still maintaining the diverse manufacturer’s image programs. Each auto manufacturer has a distinctive identity program to make their dealership immediately recognizable, but the challenge was how to develop a uniform architectural style that met manufacturers needs.

The development included Volkswagen, Toyota, Chrysler, Kia, Mazda and Hyundai along with a pre-owned vehicle sales building and service building and was completed in 2006.
