Complimenting both functions, as a Community Library and also Headquarters for the Jasper County Public Library system, the Rensselaer Library was in need of a structure that could incorporate community rooms, meeting centers, offices as well as specific library functions like book conservation and public places.

The completed library provided not only improved functional solutions, but also a positive aesthetic image for the community respecting the scale of the residential surrounding landscape.

The use of natural light and open planning of the interior brings the feeling of the outdoors inside.
