Indiana Design Center - Indianapolis, IN

Architura was commissioned to illustrate a Design concept for a 71,000 Square Foot high Quality Fashion design center for Retail location of boutiques and Outlet Stores for name Fashion clothing designers. This center is within close viewing distance of the Fashion Mall at Keystone at the Crossing Indianapolis, IN. the design Concept was prepared to obtain zoning approvals and financing for the development of the piece at the northwest corner of 86th street and Keystone Avenue in Indianapolis.

Inspiration for the Design Center was the navy Pier in Chicago. The site design saves space for mature tree growth to embrace a parking garden for the Center and act as a buffer to adjacent residential neighbors. A natural retention pond was planned to become a landscape feature visible from the primary road to the south.

Visit the Villas in Columbus today, located in Columbus, Indiana, and you’ll see a beautiful retirement community that’s built in a stylish and modern design. And you’d probably never guess that before Architura was hired for the building construction administration, that this site was once home to low-income housing apartments that were in bad need of repair, or demolition.

Demolition was required and a complete overhaul of the structural building design was needed to accommodate the 16 new and renovated apartment units that the structure now holds.
